    ST. JOHN’S, MAY 22, 2020 - The St. John’s Board of Trade welcomes today's announcement and calls on Province to do more and move fast, safely.

    “Government continues to listen to the concerns of business owners,” said Andrew Wadden, Chair of the St. John’s Board of Trade. “We urge the Province to keep working with business to open the economy as safely and quickly as possible. Be flexible, and provide different approaches for different sectors. We are looking forward to further announcements, and information in relation to economic recovery.”

    Today's announcement of the deferral of more than $6 million in fees will help some members of the Board with their pain points.
