Deloitte Canada recently launched a brand-new Executive Service Centre (ESC) in its St. John’s office and, in just a few short months, the firm has already greatly expanded the level of support for its partners and directors nationwide. Initially opening in June 2019 with a handful of team members, the firm has tested and refined the ESC’s service model. The centre is now home to 18 Executive Coordinators, who support nearly 100 of Deloitte Canada’s leaders in all service lines and across all time zones.
“These are all new jobs created in St. John’s, and we have been so pleased with the quality of candidates from around the community,” said Tim Fahey, the firm’s Managing Partner for Newfoundland and Labrador. “We are excited to see this innovative service grow the way it has. It really is off to an incredible start.”
Fahey said the ESC will continue to expand in line with the overall growth of the firm, creating more high-quality jobs in the province.
“This remote service delivery model has allowed Deloitte to have the ESC exclusively in St. John’s,” added Fahey. “It’s all part of the firm’s commitment to the Newfoundland and Labrador economy and, being from here, that means a lot to me personally and to our team.”
“This top team of Executive Coordinators is providing exceptional administrative support,” he said.
The team handles and coordinates a number of administrative activities such as email and calendar management, meeting support, and document and report management, all with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
“We keep hearing from our leaders that this innovative support model really works,” he added. “This is all about embracing the changing nature of work and the requirements of our next-generation leaders. We’re thrilled that St. John’s is playing a key role in our firm’s overall growth, while providing professional employment right here in our province."
